Tyanna Buie creates work that focuses on childhood memories and family dynamics. Though her ideas are derived from contemporary issues, she often employs strong traditional techniques.

A Chicago native, Tyanna received her BA from Western Illinois University in Macomb Illinois. She is currently an MFA candidate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison where she is receiving an interdisciplinary education in studio practices, with an emphasis in printmaking.
