Printmaking and the Politics of Protest is a printmaking/lecture course created in 2018 by Anita Jung, Professor of Printmaking at the University of Iowa, for the purpose of adding diverse curricular content.
*This course is currently offered at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, IA, and The College for Creative Studies, Detroit, MI

The Zoom Webinar, A Conversation with internationally known artist, Shepard Fairey, is an extension of this course, which examines the role of prints and printed matter in the context of political protest, the power of images, and how artists as well as non-artists have asserted and supported social justice and sustainability issues through art.
