The Detroit Institute of Art Presents Thursdays at the Museum with artist Tyanna Buie, as she virtually demonstrates the monotype screen-printing process and a discussion of her work, which has been exhibited in numerous juried, group, and solo exhibitions throughout the country.

Informed by photo-based images, family memorabilia, and documents sourced from family members — Buie's work combines repetition, dissemination, and the building of images with painting methods, drawing, collage, and screen-printing in a nontraditional manner, creating singular pieces as well as larger-scale site-specific installations.
